A non-FDA approved 3D printed face shield to address the shortage of PPE. Designed for 3D printing and to print fast with no supports. Thermal shrinkage compensation to ease the assembly and alignment of parts. Currently in use at hospitals in Hawaii. Safety and protection level have not been assessed.
Designed to print as only walls and a floor. Set slicer wall count to at least 2 walls. Should print with 4 walls thick with a .4 or .35 mm nozzle. Infill setting does not matter. One set uses 34 grams of PLA material. This can be printed without supports(except for clip file which needs supports for integrated rivet). Does print successfully without a skirt but one may be used if bed adhesion is an issue. Do not print rivets with skirt due to difficulty removing skirt. I have provided the file with no logo because I would not like that to prevent you from helping out with tour printer or expertise.
